Rainbow Rare Earths

Rainbow is developing a rare earths project in Phalaborwa, South Africa to recover rare earths from the gypsum waste dumps of historic phosphate operations to produce high-value NdPr oxide, with dysprosium and terbium.

• Tailings reprocessing will mean avoiding costly and carbon-intensive mining and crushing associated with primary orebodies.
• Strong environmental benefits from re-processing tailings by remediating waste dumps and reclaiming water.
