Environmentally sustainable, low-impact lithium extraction
Pioneering industry-leading Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology called ILiAD and developing the most advanced project on the Salton Sea, California, to produce battery-grade lithium hydroxide from geothermal brines.
EnergySource Minerals’ Project ATLiS is a shovel-ready, permitted lithium extraction project that will produce 20,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide annually from brine flow at an existing 55MW geothermal power plant at the Salton Sea.
Harnessing EnergySource Minerals’ proprietary DLE technology, ILiAD, ATLiS is positioned to be one of the lowest-cost lithium sources globally for the U.S. battery market.
EnergySource Minerals has secured a conditional commitment of a $1.36 billion project finance loan to Project ATLiS from the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Energy Dominance Financing.
Beyond Project ATLiS, ILiAD has the potential to unlock a range of brine resources globally and is being piloted with several major natural resource companies, including at Rio Tinto's Sal de Vida site in Catamarca, Argentina.
